After that the crew travels across town and explores The Velveteen Rabbit and they finally wrap up the evening at the infamous Peppermill!

Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar offers guests a taste of Fieri’s signature cuisine. It features bold flavors and unique twists on traditional dishes. It's open daily from 8 a.m. until late, with a late night dining menu served after 10 p.m. The 200-seat restaurant features a delicious food menu including an extensive variety of burgers, wings, tacos, small bites and shareable food items.
The restaurant’s drink menu features 16 craft beers, a Sonoma County wine selection and a frozen tap system shot bar that creates a one-of-a kind experience for guests. The cooking space features a metal, tile, and wood theme that closely resembles Fieri’s kitchen at home. The restaurant is adjacent to the Carnaval Court and The LINQ Hotel & Casino’s main entrance.
ZOE: HORROR ESCAPE ROOM at BALLY’S
Heather chose the next stop of the night and it involved escaping from a real life horror movie! They ventured into the new ZOE: Horror based Escape Room at Bally’s Las Vegas. Known for its scares and its challenging situations, attendees will get to experience haunted rooms in a totally immersive experience. The premise behind this event is to help Zoe’s spirit escape her prison. If you have ever been to an escape room then you know there are opportunities for people to get to know one another as well as thrilling, adrenalin inducing adventures. If you purchase your tickets for Zoe before 8 p.m. they are only $45. After 8 p.m., the price goes up to $55. The menu has an eye toward dishes that pair well with beer, including English ale onion soup, shepherd's pie, a selection of sausages and the classic fish and chips.

Serving up wings for every taste, ranging from savory (Cacciatore & Parmesan, Salt & Pepper) to spicy (Sticky Korean, Nashville Hot), Sticky Chicken boasts the best chicken west of the Mississippi.
If wings aren’t your thing, you can bite into one of Sticky Chicken’s sandwiches, like the breakfast-worthy Early Bird (chicken, chipotle smear, fried egg, applewood bacon, avocado, cheddar cheese, tomato) or bayou-inspired Alligator Bait (chicken, Cajun remoulade, fried green tomato, Cajun slaw).

Episode #65 (Air Date 5-23-18) Beer & Volleyball We Attend the Huntington Beach AVP with Kona Beer
Episode Link: https://bit.ly/2s3NoMc
EPISODE 65 of Man Seeks Adventure with Brad Fanshaw and Dave Marek. This week the guys attend the first stop on the AVP pro volleyball tour in Huntington Beach, California. Our friends at Kona Brewing are the official sponsor and beer of the tour. MSA asks Widaliz Quinones to join us again on the mics so we can get all of the details of Kona's involvement.
WHAT TO SEE
AVP Volleyball Tour / Huntington Beach: The Association of Volleyball Professionals is the biggest and longest-running professional beach volleyball tour in the United States. Founded in 1983, the AVP is headquartered in Newport Beach, California. This giant beach party is a great time and to see all the stops on this years tour visit: https://avp.com
WHAT TO EAT / DRINK
Kona Brewing Oasis Bar : Located on the sand at all of the AVP tour stops, the Kona Brewing Oasis Bar is featuring the summers newest release of its Kona Aloha Series with Gold Cliff IPA, a bold, juicy beer that highlights the adventurous spirit of the Hawaiian Islands. The new beer expands Kona’s ever-growing offerings to include a big, hoppy IPA with a Kona twist– juicy, tropical pineapple, an homage to the southern tip of Lanai, where the island’s first pineapple field overlooks cobalt blue waters. The 7.2% ABV Gold Cliff IPA pairs caramel & acidulated malts with easygoing aromas of Mosaic, Chinook, Topaz, and Citra hops for a cool embrace of Pacific paradise. To learn more visit: https://konabrewingco.com/
Duke's Huntington Beach : Located at the Huntington Beach Pier, Duke's Restaurant named for surfing legend serves Hawaiian seafood menu in a space with surfside views. With epic waves breaking along eight and a half miles of sand, Huntington Beach epitomizes the California beach lifestyle. It was here that Duke Kahanamoku, the legendary Hawaiian swimmer and surfer, introduced surfing in 1925, and the sport's popularity quickly spread along the California Coast leading to Huntington Beach earning its nickname as Surf City USA®. Learn more at: http://www.dukeshuntington.com/
Lost Property Bar: One of Dave's new favorite bars in Los Angeles is located at the historic corner of Hollywood and Vine. This timeless, full service bar specializing is whiskies from around the globe. Just steps from Pantages Theater and the LA metro line, they are the ideal place to grab a fine drink during your night out in Hollywood. Check them out at: http://www.lostpropertybar.com/
33 Taps : Dave also recommends 33 Taps in Los Angeles. Not your average sports bar here at 33 Taps. They are a full service neighborhood restaurant with an intense focus on their people, their food, and of course beverage. They believe in offering their guests the best product at the best possible price, and always with a smile. It’s that simple.
So, what’s with the 33? The number 33 is more than just a number. The end of Prohibition in 1933 signaled great times ahead. To honor that significant milestone in our country’s history, they decided to offer a rotating draft system of 33 great beers. Their tap handles pour a mixture of local craft brews, as well as some very well-known domestics and imports. There’s definitely a beer on tap for everyone. To learn more visit: 33Taps.com
La Mariana Sailing Club: When on the island of Oahu Dave recommends making an effort and finding La Mariana Sailing Club.
A Mai Tai should never be consumed in a hurry. That’s a general rule of thumb. But nowhere is that more true than when you’re at La Mariana Tiki Bar and Restaurant in Honolulu. It’s near impossible to be in a hurry at this 57-year-old watering hole, tucked away in an industrial part of Sand Island, along the shores of Keehi Lagoon. It’s the kind of place where time seems to warp. You’re already operating on island time, and as soon as you walk in the door, you’ll wonder if you walked through a time machine, too.
It’s the last of Honolulu’s original tiki bars, and it’s something of a museum to Hawaii’s history and the tiki bars of old. Artifacts and memorabilia from Hawaii’s shuttered tiki-themed restaurants, including old carved tikis from the Sheraton’s Kon Tiki Room, line the walls. The decor is straight from the ‘50s. To get the whole story visit their website: www.lamarianasailingclub.com
Hennessey's Tavern / Redondo Beach CA : Irish-style pub chain serving breakfast, bar bites, burgers & more in a casual, traditional space. Find them online at: www.hennesseystavern.com
The Kettle / Manhattan Beach CA: This is one Dave's picks for hidden gems. American eats available 24 hours in a low-key environment with a diner vibe & patio seating. Find them online at: http://thekettle.net/
Crab Cooker / Newport Beach CA: Just down the road from Huntington Beach is Newport Beach. If time permits, make sure to stop into The Crab Cooker. This Nautical-themed eatery is a local institution with its seafood served on paper plates & funky charm. Find them online at: TheCrabCooker.com

Episode Link: https://bit.ly/2x08zEC

An eclectic group of attendees and artists made this a great event. Also, the two take you to one of LA's oldest Mexican food establishments and a local bar.
Brad will also tell you all about his week driving the new Jaguar 400 Sport F-Type. This 400 horsepower sports car is a well endowed English gentleman.

Pancakes & Booze : As you may have guessed, this is an art show, but not your typical art gallery. Since 2009 they have been filling the best venues in over 30 cities around the world with favorite local artists, photographers, bands, and DJ's. They focus on keeping the work on display local and original to help artists of all types sell their work while they're still alive (why does it take dying to gain recognition?). Each show usually features between 50-150 local artisans, a unique lineup of live musicians and/or DJs, live painting, body painting, along with other forms of entertainment. Oh, and of course PANCAKES!
The show seeks to bring the art community and those outside the community together by creating an upbeat art show that appeals to the masses. Through the shows they create an environment where artists, potential buyers, and pancake fanatics alike can make connections with several different types of people within their own communities. WHAT TO SEE
The Queen Mary : Just a short distance from the track is a must see for any visitor to Long Beach; The Queen Mary. Honomobar $20,000 - This is a bar made out of an old shipping container! The design gurus at Honomobar will take an old shipping container and turn it into a 100 square foot mobile bar with all of the fixings and then ship it anywhere in North America. This description isn't doing it justice, so go see them for yourself at: Honomobar.com
The Macallan 60 Year Old $760,000 - Two vintage whiskies will hit the auction block in May and they are really going to put a dent in the wallet! The Macallan Peter Blake 1926 60 year old and the Macallan Valerio Adami 1926 60 year old. These rare gems feature labels designed by iconic pop artists Peter Blake (of Sgt. Pepper's album cover fame) and Valerio Adami. “Only 24 of these bottles were produced, and the sale is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for collectors to acquire the holy grail of Macallan," said auction house Bonhams head of fine wine and whisky in Hong Kong, Daniel Lam.
#TravelLikeAMan - Brad's travel recommendation this week is the book "Mountain View: Nature Retreats" - This, the first title in a new series, Nature Retreats, which presents the most beautifully-designed holiday homes, with stunning mountain views. Travel journalist Sebastiaan Bedaux gathered 30 of the most stylish hideouts in the world in Mountain View. Despite the great variety of styles, different price tags and unique geography of the houses, they do have one thing in common: they are the stuff of dreams.
The series will celebrate architecturally elegant hidden gems, surrounded by nature - deep in the woods, high up in the mountains, or built by the water - and all available for rent! Find some peace and quiet and let the splendor of the building and the unique landscape around it inspire you. You can find this on Amazon now.
#DrinkLikeAMan - Heather's recommendation this week for #DrinkLikeAMan is to visit Rainey Street in Austin TX! Renovated houses turned into bungalow bars reign supreme on this increasingly popular tucked-away street. Day or night, you’ll find relaxed bar-goers strolling from bar to food trailer to bar again, often with their dogs in tow looking for a kicked back sip and a bite. A couple of her favorite bars were Unbarlievable and Craft Pride.
Unbarlievable - Unbelievable. Decidedly offbeat, shrouded in eclecticism and whimsy – it’s a show and a space that forbids you to take anything seriously. Its imagination meets bar top; a place for revelry and marvel. All are welcome to charivari. Join the chaotic happiness, curated with intention to make perfect sense. The house offers a mix of indoor and outdoor arenas, food from on-site grease joints, special events, a full bar and creative cocktails. No gags, just unbarlievable entertainment.
Craft Pride - Situated in the burgeoning Rainey Street district in Austin, Craft Pride is a unique Texas-only craft beer bar serving up the highest quality beer from regional breweries. Fostering the community’s commitment to supporting local business and sustainability, everything from the design, décor and construction to the local beer and wine selections further emphasize Craft Pride’s implementation of these values.

EP59 Downtown Los Angeles - Grand Central Market
It's episode 59 and the Man Seeks Adventure crew takes a field trip out of the studio. Brad Fanshaw, Dave Marek and Heather Storm explore food and drink in downtown Los Angeles (DTLA). They begin with spicy bloody Mary's in the newly renovated Hotel Figueroa bar. Next, it is a side trip for a ride on the historic Angel's Flight railway to Bunker Hill.
#travellikeaman - To start their day out the crew stops by the newly renovated Hotel Figueroa. Once an exclusive women’s hostelry and later a local haunt for Moroccan-themed soirees, Hotel Figueroa on S. Figueroa Street in Downtown Los Angeles re-emerges from a two-year restoration inspired by its original 1926 Spanish Colonial splendor.
Reclaiming its legacy in DTLA, the 14-story luxury hotel features 268 rooms & suites, 10,000 square feet of event space, locally sourced art, and an iconic coffin-shaped pool within a botanical hideaway.
The downtown Los Angeles hotel spotlights two destination restaurants, Breva and Veranda, conceived by James Beard Award nominee Chef Casey Lane from Tasting Kitchen and Casa Apicii. Dushan Zaric, New York City's Employees Only cocktailer, pours a progressive spirit into the hotel's bars including Bar Figueroa, Rick's, and the reservations-only Bar Alta.
Check out the Hotel Figueroa online at: www.hotelfigueroa.com
Next up the crew headed over to the historic Angels Flight. The 117-year-old funicular takes passengers on a short ride between Hill Street and Grand Avenue on Bunker Hill. Originally opened in 1901, Angels Flight® — the world’s shortest railway — has given more than 100 million rides along its hillside track.
Learn more about this L.A. Landmark at: https://angelsflight.org/
#eatlikeaman - While in downtown the crew popped in to the historic Grand Central Market, a downtown landmark since 1917, that brings together the cuisines and cultures of LA.
Dave Marek chose Horse Thief BBQ for his food choice. This offering specializes in authentic Texas BBQ, smoked meats & gourmet sides, plus outdoor seating. Dave recommends their amazing Beef Brisket Sandwich. www.horsethiefbbq.com
Heather Storms choice was Olio Wood Fired Pizza. This location features hand stretched 10” personal sized wood fired pizzas, made-to-order crisp salads, and savory wood fired appetizers. Olio Grand Central Market showcases hand-crafted pizzas available in our favorite combinations or you can craft your own from our collection of market-fresh ingredients. Brad Fanshaws choice was Belcampo Meat Co. Tucked into the legendary Grand Central Market, Belcampo Restaurant & Butcher Shop Downtown Los Angeles serves Belcampo’s signature burgers in a modern-meets-retro cool vibe. Grab a seat at our chic, counter-service diner for Breakfast or Lunch to indulge in the best Organic grass-fed burgers while people watching and enjoying a glass of beer or wine. Brad chose their "100 Day Burger" and he highly recommends it!! www.belcampo.com
#partylikeaman - For our #partylikeaman segment our globe trotting host Dave has another deep dive musical suggestion. Dave recommends the iconic Los Angeles band Motorcycle Boy. They are Dirty Rock 'N Roll from the streets of Hollywood, CA.
#dresslikeaman - Brad recommends checking out David Beckham's new line of men's grooming products that have just launched! The brand is called "House 99". HOUSE 99, a complete collection of 21 innovative products to conquer every style ambition. The highly anticipated launch was created by David Beckham in partnership with L’Oréal Luxe to provide all the tools men need to experiment with their look in order to express their own evolving style and unique identity. HOUSE 99 takes a holistic approach to grooming, merging British barbershop culture and style with hair, skin, beard and tattoo creativity to build a home for every man’s next look.
#drinklikeaman - The crew had a few recommendations for some current favorite watering holes. First up is Salvation Taco at the Pod 39 Hotel in Manhattan. A collaboration between Michelin starred Chef April Bloomfield and acclaimed restaurateur Ken Friedman. Salvation Taco taqueria and cantina brings one-of-a-kind flavors to the New York hotel restaurant scene. The Pod 39 Rooftop features cocktails and light bites by Salvation Taco and is open seasonally, weather permitting. ThePodHotel.com . SalvationTaco.com
Also in NY we recommend a super chill spot located in Brooklyn called Hot Bird. They offer lots of craft beers from a cash-only bar in a former auto shop, with patio picnic tables & fire pit. Currently no website but you can find them at 546 Clinton Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11238.
Finally Heather's favorite rooftop hang in Los Angeles is Perch. PERCH LOS ANGELES is an elevated resting place. A French inspired rooftop bistro that offers unobstructed views of Downtown Los Angeles that makes it feel as though you are floating at the skyline. PERCH offers two outdoor fireplaces, various fire pits, lounge and table seating both indoors and out. PerchLA.com

EP58 Spring Travel Tips, Food Festivals and Beer Rants
It's episode 58 and the Man Seeks Adventure crew has a little spring in their step this week!
With Spring comes Food Festivals, Hitting the Open Road for Adventure and of course a new Drink of the Day! Brad, Heather and Dave dive in and give you their picks for the best Spring eats, adventures and bars.
#travellikeaman - Brad gets things started with his suggestion for #travellikeaman. He recommends hitting the open road and doing some camping this spring with a cool tricked out ready to go camper van from Native Campervans. Native Campervans is a Campervan Rental Company with locations in Denver, Colorado & Salt Lake City, Utah. Equipped with comfortable beds, fully-stocked kitchenettes and camping accessories, they have included all the essentials to venture through the Rocky Mountains and beyond. Their fleet of Campervans are available for short or long-term rentals so you can enjoy Vanlife at your own pace. Check them out at: NativeCampervans.com
#partylikeaman - For our #partylikeaman segment our globe trotting host Dave has a couple of suggestions. The next time you are in NYC Dave recommends stopping into the bar Brass Monkey! Long before the glittery onslaught of flash-in-the pan clubs and boutiques, there was Brass Monkey. The destination at the very end of the street – Brass Monkey was built to be a warm and reliable outpost that anyone, at any time, could come to and know they will find a welcoming atmosphere with great food and drinks. A consistent favorite of local regulars and weekend revelers alike since opening our doors in the summer of 2004, we have remained true to our promise to keep our doors open from early in the day until late at night, seven days a week year round.
Dave also had an interesting pick this week for his favorite band of the moment. This one is a bit of a deep dive, but well worth checking out. The band is called the Flat Duo Jets. Flat Duo Jets is an American psychobilly band from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and Athens, Georgia. They were a major influence on several bands of the 1990s and 2000s, including The White Stripes. In interviews, Jack White (the White Stripes' lead singer and guitarist) has often acknowledged Dexter Romweber's influence.
#shoplikeaman - Brads pick for #shoplikeaman is a new service that Amazon.com has added to their website called $10 and Under. It features Amazon's newest, best rated, and sale items with free shipping for $10 & under! Learn more at Amazon.com.
#drinklikeaman - This week you get a double dose of "Drink of the Day". Adam Carolla sent us over some of his "Endless Rant" Lager for us to try! Everyone swooped in and tried can and the unanimous opinion was a enthusiastic "Thumbs Up! It was very flavorful and not too heavy.
